What’s your favorite Bible verse and why does it speak to you?
Probably Philippians 4:6–7. I’m someone who likes to know the plan, fix the problem, and have some sense of control over what’s happening. That verse reminds me to bring it to God first. I don’t have to have everything figured out to have peace; I just have to trust the One who does.
What’s your favorite Bible story, and why?
If I had to choose just one, it would be Jesus calming the storm. I love the reminder that the disciples were terrified while Jesus was completely in control. I think we all have seasons where we’re basically saying, “God, do You SEE what is happening?!” And He does. The storm doesn’t mean He isn’t there.
What’s a moment at CCA when you really felt God at work?
I would have to say the big thing has been CruKids coming together. When I look at where we started and what God has already done through CruKids, the people He provided, the families who trusted us, the resources that showed up when we needed them. I can see His hand all over it. There were so many pieces that I couldn’t have orchestrated myself.

2 Corinthians 1:3–4
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
My pain has a purpose. The loss of a parent has been excruciating. All the trials I have been through are for a purpose. As long as I stay kingdom-minded and use my pain to help others in the same struggle.
This is our family’s 18th year at CCA!!! My oldest daughters, Riley and Cady, went Pre-K through 12th here and now go to OSU! GO POKES!!! My youngest, Brock, has been at CCA since the one-year-old class and is now in 5th grade. I actually worked at CCA while pregnant with him. He only knows the CCA family!
My mom has been the most influential person in my walk of faith. I grew up in a church where my dad was a preacher and my mom worked at the church. She served in every ministry and showed us how to be the hands and feet of Jesus. How to truly walk in faith, love Jesus, and love others!
God did NOT call me to teach. Instead, He gave me a love for numbers. I like math equations—numbers don’t lie. Seeing a puzzle come together and work is so satisfying. It never changes! How cool God planned out even for numbers to be absolute truth. Every detail of His plan comes together.
My favorite Bible story is in 1 Samuel 18, the story of David and Jonathan. It’s the deepest, truest, most loyal friendship! Through all their trials with Saul, Jonathan still helped his friend David. After Jonathan passed and David was king, David honored his friend by taking care of his disabled son.
When I hear “How Great Thou Art,” it causes me to stop and worship how great He truly is! My go-to top-of-the-lungs worship song is “Clean” by Natalie Grant. God has not only forgiven me, but He has given me a new identity in Him.Psalm 51:10: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”
