CCA Is Excited to Announce Our New Campus Pastor
Meet Brian Pennington, Cornerstone’s new Campus Pastor! Brian was born and raised in Oklahoma City. He grew up in a Christian home and was saved as a young boy. During Youth Camp at the age of 14, God called him to missions. He spent most of his college years at Oklahoma Baptist University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Ministry with an emphasis in Missions. His next stop was to move to Ft. Worth to attend seminary. In 2001, He graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master’s of Divinity.
From 2008 to 2016, he and his family served as missionaries with the International Mission Board of the SBC. Their first year was spent at language school in San Jose, Costa Rica. Upon graduation, they moved to Peru where they served as church planters in the Andes Mountains and later headed up a team of missionaries that trained and worked with volunteer mission teams from the US.
Upon returning to the States, he accepted a position as a high school Spanish teacher at Alvarado HS. He has served in that role for the last 8 years.
The Penningtons have been members of Graceview Baptist Church in Burleson, TX since 2017. Brian is an elder of the church and also serves as the student pastor. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Jenn, for 29 years. They have two sons, Jordan and Trevor. Jordan is married and has two daughters. Trevor is currently studying Finance at UTA.

This will be a day field trip. Students will leave the school Friday morning and return to the school Friday afternoon. If you want to go online to learn more about Camp Thurman, you can visit their website: https://campthurman.
The approximate cost of the CCA Unity Retreat is about $45 per student. This amount covers transportation and the basic activities we will participate in. We will break that into three payments, Early August, End of August, and September. I will give you more information as soon as we start school in August. You may also pay the full amount in one payment if you prefer. Payments must be made by cash or check. You may not pay it through your school account.
