What’s your favorite Bible verse and why does it speak to you?

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth, buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evi one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6: 10-11, 14-17 (NIV)

What’s one way you see God’s faithfulness in your everyday life?

I am learning to wait upon the Lord and allow His will, not mine. When I have let go and allowed Him to take the wheel, He has ALWAYS come through in an unimaginable way!

What’s your prayer for your students this year?

I pray that my students will see and feel Jesus through me. I pray that they will learn to equipment themselves daily with the armor of God and trust the Lord to bring them through any struggle. I pray they will learn to listen to the Holy Spirit and make the right choices, but to also take responsibility and repent when they don’t. I pray they learn to forgive and love as Jesus does.

What’s your favorite Bible verse and why does it speak to you?

“ You are the God who sees me.” — Genesis 16:13
This verse reminds me that God sees me, knows me, and is always with me. It is comforting to know that even when I may feel unseen or uncertain, God knows exactly where I am and what I need.

What’s your favorite Bible story, and why?

My favorite Bible story is Ruth. I love Ruth’s story because it shows loyalty, faithfulness, and trusting God even when the future is uncertain. Her willingness to follow God and remain faithful through difficult circumstances is such a beautiful example of trusting His plan.

What’s your prayer for your students this year?

My prayer for my students this year is that they will grow to love and trust God. I pray that they will know that God created them, loves them, and has a special plan for their lives. I also pray that they will grow in kindness, courage, and love for others.

What’s a family tradition rooted in faith?

One tradition in my family is gathering together during the holidays and taking time to thank God for our family and the blessings He has given us. I love that it gives us an opportunity to slow down, be together, and remember what is truly important.
